I had a friend who declared once, on Shrove Tuesday, that for Lent she would give up yelling at her kids. As we walked to school on Ash wednesday, she confessed she had already failed...repeatedly...!
As Baptists, we don't make a very big thing of Lent - but I think it is good to prepare our hearts for Easter!
Hope Will feeling beter now, and that the smell has gone
blessings xxAngelahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13494078135251214182noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8626107370797678390.post-72586991082587312672009-02-26T16:39:00.000-08:002009-02-26T16:39:00.000-08:00Hey, Tina--Believe me, last night we could have us...Hey, Tina--Believe me, last night we could have used a breath of fresh air in the midst of vomit. Will is feeling much better now, thanks, though he's a little nervous about eating (just look at what happened the last time).

Tracy, My husband grew up Southern Baptist and jokes that all this Lent stuff is just a fad. A lot of my protestant/evangelical friends don't observe it, though our church (which is Moravian, tho I grew up Episcopalian) has really focused on it these past few years.Left-Handed Housewifehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15014518128739580267noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8626107370797678390.post-74479066489260758642009-02-26T13:32:00.000-08:002009-02-26T13:32:00.000-08:00I feel terrible admitting to this, but my only Len...I feel terrible admitting to this, but my only Lenten thought is: Pancake Day! Sad isn't it. I guess Lent is just not something talked about much in any of the variety of churches I've attended in my life.

I hope Will is feeling better soon... and that none of the rest of you get what he's had. You guys have had a rough trot with health lately.

Jack is the epitome of why we don't have a Wii....or any other button driven thing.
